Separate interior decisions from shared-property questions
Changing a door, partition or built-in fitting can involve more than choosing a finish. Explain whether you own, rent or manage the property and whether the proposed work touches a shared wall, common area or building service. Required permissions and licensed work must be settled for the actual scope.
- Identify who can approve the work and supply any relevant owner or body corporate requirements.
- Mark which walls, doors and cabinetry are being retained, altered or removed.
- For a wet-room update, distinguish fittings and finishes from plumbing, electrical and regulated waterproofing responsibilities.
